I am Chris Sivells and I serve as Minister of Music at Second Baptist Providence. My wife Janet and I have been married for 32 years and we enjoy serving our Lord together. We have been at Providence since August of 2022. Music has always been a big part of my life. I surrendered to the ministry in 2014. However, the Holy Spirit began working on me several years before then.

We spent seven years serving as worship leaders at Morganfield Job Corps before feeling called to step back into our local church in Princeton. After a few years serving in the praise team we accepted the call as worship leaders at Chapel Hill Baptist Church. After a few years we felt God moving us again. Shortly after, Covid hit and we had no idea what was in store. It was through the moving of God and close friends that we learned about the position at Second Baptist Church in Providence. After speaking with Pastor Nick and the deacon body, we accepted the call there. 

God never ceases to amaze us at how He orchestrates things if we will get ourselves out of the way and let God do what God does! We have grown to love the folks at Second Baptist as much as they love us and look forward to what God has in store for us.
